Description
The versatile TEC Isotope Triode Fob is designed to hold several glass tritium vials. (three, 3mm x 22.5mm tritium vials for the TEC-T3-3X) or (six, 3mm x 11mm tritium vials for the TEC-T3-6X) which will glow continuously for over a decade without the need to charge it from sunlight or UV light. This version of Isotope Fob has 3 individual bores to house the tritium, hence the nickname “Triode”. The Triode can hold several combinations of tritium vials, as each bore can hold either one 3mm x 23mm vial OR two 3mm x 11mm vials. Think of the color combinations!
The TEC Isotope Triode Fob has three primary bores to hold the tritium vials, and the six grooves on the side of the housing provide maximum tritium visibility yet offers superior protection of the glass vials. Once the tritium is installed, you simply insert the included rubber plug (spares included), install the O-ring over the post, and attach the split ring. This prevents the tritium vials from sliding out yet provides an easy way to remove the vials if you want to change or re-position the colors.

Discovered theTEC Accessories triode on an internet forum that I frequent. Purchasing the triode itself would be easy enough, but I couldn’t find a source for the tritium tubes in the correct size. Was directed to this website and corresponded with John who was very responsive and helpful. Placed the order, fully expecting the shipping and customs delays to take several weeks or even months to the US. I discovered Tritium Keychains in a random search and despite some initial reservations placed an order for two products, including this one. It was received here in California within 14 days, total elapsed time. The vendor provided frequent updates and a tracking number.
The TEC-T3-3X fob is amazing. Tiny in size, I gasped when I saw how brightly the 3 x green tritium vials were in a dark room. I ordered this to use with my EDC Crossbody bag and am extremely happy with it. The quality of the fob is excellent and complements the 3 tritium vials very well. I also ordered 1 x TEC T323-2X fob. Its quality is also excellent but not quite as bright as the TEC-T3-3X, as it has 2, not 3, vials that are positioned differently.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and just have ordered 2 more.
